Three…two…one…and we’re live! Weekend Coffee Share

If we were having coffee, I would apologise for the radio silence; loosely translated as a distinct lack of comments due to an incredibly busy week. We would be sat in my garden because the sun is positively beaming, and I have so much energy I can’t deal with confined spaces! You would catch me up on your week as we sipped our drink of choice, and in your company I would begin to relax.

Then, you would ask how I feel about my live interview this afternoon with Jonas Lee, and the nerves would start dancing again, to a very distinct tune. As ย an interpreter I’m used to having a conversation over FaceTime, but it’s always in sign language and it’s not about me it’s about the job. So, yes, I’m slightly nervous, not least because I might go into auto pilot and start to sign! I would tell you that my interview is at 3.30pm UK time, so if you would like to ask questions you can leave themย here. There will be a YouTube video I can share later, which may or may not need subtitles ๐Ÿ™‚

If we were having coffee, I would ask about your week ahead, and what you have in store. Then, we might head on over to Diana’s place, our gracious host, and catch up with our other friends.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mel

  1. Happy Weekend Mel! Oh and have fun with your interview!
Don’t apologise for your lack of comments, I am in the same situation… and I have not posted much this week either.

  2. Good luck with the interview! Will you and the interviewer be in the same room or via Skype/GHO? I did one for a radio station which was quite complicated. They sent a sound recording specialist to my house who wanted everything silent except for us. He was quite unhappy when my Grandfather clock bonged the hour!

    • I can imagine! Thanks, Jacqui. It went okay, but I’m not the most confident of speakers! It was conducted over Google Hangouts but will be available on YouTube ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. I’m sure the interview will be wonderful! And if you start to sign, so what? That’s a part of you! Or you could just sit on your hands! LOL! I’m sure you’ll do just fine.

    • Thanks, Corina ๐Ÿ™‚ it went okay, but my daughter laughed and had a lot of feedback, as kids do! Apparently I was sat too close to the camera and I sound ‘nothing like that in real life!’ It was an experience! I hope you have a lovely weekend ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. I went silent for a week myself. It was excruciating, but worth it. I hope the interview went well, and I’m looking forward to the youtube ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thanks, Gene’O – it could have been better! I’ve been blogging for so long I managed to convince myself I could ignore the fact I’m an introvert and overcome my usual shyness. But I’m staying positive – if I get another opportunity – I’ll do better! It wasn’t terrible…so there is that ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you have a lovely weekend.

I’d love to hear from you.
